A study performed by Drive Research found that “23% of adults quit their New Year’s resolutions by “Quitter’s Day” or by the second Friday of January. In 2025 Quitter’s Day happens on January 10th. By the end of the month 20% of adults will be added to that initial number. Statistically speaking roughly 8% of adults will be successful with their goals by the end of the year. In this article I will suggest some strategies that can help you become part of that group. On January 3rd we celebrate International Mind-Body Wellness Day. As a certified Reiki healer, I believe it is important to bring awareness to this day in order to help people understand how holistic healing can help them with their fitness and mental health goals. The top 5 goals are improve fitness, finances, and mental health, followed by losing weight and improving diet. What role does the mind-body connection play in all this and how does it fit into holistic healing? And how can a Reiki healer help you with all this? How Does the Mind-Body Connection Fit Into Holistic Healing?Holistic healing refers to the treatment of the whole system, inside and outside, associated with the person experiencing an obstacle in the health of their body whether it be physical, emotional, or mental. The outside refers to the environment that the person is in, including the people, and what they are consuming, and the inside refers to the way the person thinks, feels, as well as the symptoms that the physical body is experiencing. Traditional medicine only focuses on the symptoms of the physical body to find out what is affecting the system. Traditional medicine deals with only a fraction of the whole system, and often times when the problem is caused by an external, mental, or emotional factor the problem, regardless of how many times the symptoms are dealt with, often continues and worsens over time. Holistic healing seeks to discover the source of the problem and deal with it at the root. The Mind-Body connection is part of this holistic health system. As you’ll read in this article, I will attempt to explain in simple terms what the Mind-Body connection is, I’ll touch on the science of it, how a certified Reiki healer works with it, how it can help you with your goals, and then I’ll show you how you can start working with it on your own to meet some short term goals. What is the Mind-Body Connection? The Mind-Body connection is the two-way feedback system that recognizes the influence of the mind on the body, and the body on the mind. Each element can influence the other in a positive or negative way.
Examples of negative thinking patterns include; jumping to conclusions, focusing on worst-case scenarios, and thinking in black and white terms, these types of thoughts can cause the body to react in negative ways through pains, aches, and overall dysfunction or down right disease. While hope-driven thoughts, solution-based thinking, and gratitude focused thoughts can actually help the body function and feel better by staying calm, and creating dopamine and serotonin in the body. Remember that this is a two-way feedback system, which means that the body ALSO influences the mind. I will refer to this as the Body-Mind connection. 1/25/2024 Reiki Healing for Full Moon in Leo

What Is The Significance of the Full Moon in Leo?
As a spiritual advisor that is not an astrologer, I can only give you the information that spirit has shared with me about the energy of this full moon in Leo.
Letting Go Of Old Pain There comes a time when everyone involved in a painful shared experience has moved on with their lives, except you! When this happens, you can see people finding closure and enjoying their life again. If you haven't found closure for yourself, you may begin to resent the people who are moving on. You may think to yourself: "How is this person just moving?! Aren't they still hurting? How dare they forget about this and just move on! Who gave them the right to be happy? What about me?! The thing is that when people find closure, they may still feel some pain or discomfort but they do not allow that feeling to stop them from having new experiences. You rarely ever forget painful experiences, but you may find that you understand them better as you move away from them. Everyone has the right to be happy, including you! It is up to each individual to find happiness for themselves. By stewing in the memory of the pain, you reach a point where it is no longer healthy and the pain begins to seep into other areas of your life, negatively affecting you. This in turn holds you back from having new experiences. It is as if the pain holds you hostage. And it is up to you to find support and healing when you can't manage on your own.
Letting Go Of The Things That No Longer Serve You
From a spiritual standpoint "these things" usually entail ways of thinking that no longer serve you, negative conclusions, prejudice, negative thoughts about yourself, bad habits, and toxic ways of living. How can you assess if something has reached the point of no longer serving you? I will start with a simple example from our physical reality. When you buy bananas there usually is some green on the stem signifying that they are still green and a bit dry inside, and some people love to eat bananas that are slightly green. Give them a few days and they will ripen begin to taste sweet. If you keep them for a few more days, they will taste even sweeter. Though some people might consider them far too gone. When you plan on baking banana bread you may keep them for a couple of weeks and they are just perfect for that purpose. If you keep them longer they will rot, grow mold, and attract bugs into your kitchen. Keeping those rotten bananas in your kitchen can begin to spread bugs and other unhealthy conditions for the rest of the food in your kitchen. This is exactly how a negative conclusion or toxic habit can begin to infect other areas of your life. It starts out as normal as ever, and with time it morphs into something else, and spreads into other healthy areas of your life until it negatively affects them too. These thoughts and habits begin to close your mind. When your mind stops expanding, it no longer sees opportunities and possibilities and can only see roadblocks and hurdles. If nothing is done to counteract this effect, you will naturally lose any interest to make changes and wrongly conclude that there is nothing that you can do. That you no longer have another choice but to...do something you do not want to do. And that is an awful feeling! To feel like no one is forcing you but yourself into uncomfortable and even more painful situations. It ties in with closing your heart center or your emotional well-being and keeps you from living your authentic life. Where you can do things that you love, or think would make you happy. In this article I will discuss:
Before I go deeper into this information I’d like to mention that I offer psychic readings where I can read the state of your feminine (or masculine) energy, how it specifically helps you navigate through life. I can also see where there are any imbalances, how they hinder you, and give you personalized advice on how to bring it back into balance. Book here What is Feminine Energy?Feminine energy is an energy that everyone has. There is a feminine energy side and a masculine energy side. You may have heard of Yin and Yang, this is the Chinese name for the opposing energies that make up the whole universe and are interconnected with each other. You may recognize it by it’s popular symbol ☯️. Feminine energy has NOTHING to do with gender or sexuality in this instance. It is simply a category of energy the includes your emotional and intuitive aspects. We all have emotions and we all have an intuition, therefore we all have feminine energy to varying degrees. And as you will see later, even nature has feminine aspects. When it comes to a person’s intuition, everyone has an opportunity to develop their connection with their intuition. Intuition is like a muscle that you can choose to develop or not. Your intuition is connected to an emotional energetic muscle. Some people are born with a greater connection to their intuition as indicated in their birth charts. Others are more challenged when it comes to their feminine aspect but that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible for them to develop it. It just means they need to work harder if they want to develop it, and it definitely doesn’t mean that they don’t have feminine energy.
The focus of this article is not to determine who is the best healer or a good healer, but the right healer for you! The following tips come from my personal experience as well as what I've heard other people go through trying to find a healer. There are things that I wished I had known when I was new to this "spiritual healing world" that I had no clue about, and had I known better I wouldn't have these experiences, and I wouldn't be writing this article now. In a way it was written in the stars that I would learn about this the hard way in order to share with you below. As you might know, maybe you don't, maybe this is the first time you find my blog. I came into energy healing to help myself heal because I couldn't find any solutions with traditional medicine. At the time and for several years since starting my energy healing journey I didn't know I was being emotionally abused. It was through emotional healing that I was able to see it. And once I saw it, I could read about it, and then finally find healers and therapists that could help me. There was no way for a traditional doctor to find my emotional trauma. Whether you are looking for a shaman, an energy healer, a spiritual healer, psychic healer, intuitive healer, there are so many titles for this profession because we get to use the title we think fits best, outside of traditional training. Each training school has it's own name for their practitioners, from Chinese Medicine, to Acupuncturist, to Reiki healer. And no one should expect you to know what that means. Tip #1: Ask Questions! What Type of Training and Experience Do You Have? |
