In 2023, we’re going to be using The Balbi Tarot deck to explore healing themes each month.

The Justice card doesn’t represent any one chakra that I can see. It does represent Karma, karmic law, and receiving your reward or punishment for your previous actions.

What a way to start the new year! Don’t fret, because if you’ve been wondering when are the people who hurt you going to get theirs, know that in order to hurt you, they were already in pain. And just maybe you will see some of them receiving their karma this month. I say, keep looking forward and forget about it. Focus on your own karma.

For those that had been focusing on their healing, January is going to be a bountiful month. You will feel restored back to health, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, or physically. Depending on what area you have been working on.

Domenico Balbi describes the Justice card as a reservoir of energy that must be distributed with balance and justice. This energy may feel rigid, can be good for mathematics, precision, and finding the balance point. On the physical plain it is seen as human justice, karmic law which is outside of the confines of time. In one word: Equity.

​There is a sort of stubbornness that I feel will take over some people this month. This could lead to separations and disagreements. Some people will be unable to see their mistake and might even be unwilling to want to fix it. In a sense they will just want to be right at any cost. A spiritual awakening is the turning of a new page in people’s lives where they begin to notice subtle phenomena about the world around them. It can lead to lots of routine disruptions like poor sleep / longer sleep, vivid dreams, a variety of physical changes including taste preferences and weight gain/loss, as well as not being interested in the same topics as before and digging deeper into esoteric or antique knowledge. You may even lose interest in talking about superficial topics and prefer to talk about taboo subjects instead. You begin to focus on the deeper meaning of everything around you, including your own behavior, actions, and feelings.

As I’ve been doing research on this card, the first chakra that was highlighted for me was the Crown chakra. Though this month, they all of them seem to be included depending on where you find yourself on your journey.
