In 2023, we’re going to be using The Balbi Tarot deck to explore healing themes each month.

The Justice card doesn’t represent any one chakra that I can see. It does represent Karma, karmic law, and receiving your reward or punishment for your previous actions.

What a way to start the new year! Don’t fret, because if you’ve been wondering when are the people who hurt you going to get theirs, know that in order to hurt you, they were already in pain. And just maybe you will see some of them receiving their karma this month. I say, keep looking forward and forget about it. Focus on your own karma.

For those that had been focusing on their healing, January is going to be a bountiful month. You will feel restored back to health, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, or physically. Depending on what area you have been working on.

Domenico Balbi describes the Justice card as a reservoir of energy that must be distributed with balance and justice. This energy may feel rigid, can be good for mathematics, precision, and finding the balance point. On the physical plain it is seen as human justice, karmic law which is outside of the confines of time. In one word: Equity.

​There is a sort of stubbornness that I feel will take over some people this month. This could lead to separations and disagreements. Some people will be unable to see their mistake and might even be unwilling to want to fix it. In a sense they will just want to be right at any cost. To avoid any negative energy this month, be honest and reliable with your word, especially to family, friends, and those you care about. This act can lead to having fun, the celebration of good news, and overall positive feelings in your relationships. You do not want to over extend yourself and then have to let people down. Be balanced in everything you do this month and you will reap the rewards.

​The Healing Aspect of The Justice Card

Decide to be your own judge, call the shots, and intentionally set your own karma. In this situation you will want to make sure your throat chakra is clear and balanced. Additionally, you may want to check on your heart chakra and root chakra. All 7 chakras work together as a system but when it comes to expressing yourself, you have to feel safe (root chakra) to open your heart (chakra).

The positive qualities of the throat chakra includes; the ability to speak your truth, creative expression in speech such as writing or singing. It helps you with honesty, wisdom, loyalty, reliability, and kindness.

When you heal your throat chakra, you will be creating a balanced atmosphere in the way you speak, think, and communicate with others. You will be creating positive Karma in this way because your thoughts, and way you express yourself is true to you, wise, and kind, eliminating the possibility of hurting or deceiving others. More over, you might even create a piece of art that brings healing and hope to others furthering your positive karma in the world.

When this chakra is blocked or out of balance you can experience such things as not speaking up for myself even when I urgently needing to. It is the need to speak up but physically feeling unable to do so and can even make your voice disappear for certain topics. This chakra can affect your listening skills, leading to faulty listening, and responding in a way that creates confusion or arguments. You can lack discernment about the information you receive and make unwise decisions.

Alternative, the Justice card can be an indication of needing to balance your masculine (Yang) and feminine (Yin) energies or balancing polarizing thoughts or actions.
